Ethical Americans
Following on from my last post, it’s good to see that I have moved away from what an article in the London Times reports today as:
....a nation of morally dubious, unethical people, while Americans are the most ethical people in the English-speaking world.
Over 20,000 of the newspaper’s readers, in 162 countries, took part in an online survey conducted by the Cass Business School.
I am delighted to read that US nationals scored the highest on every scale surveyed. Sadly the British scored lowest.
One theory for this is that Americans tend to have a much higher incidence of religious belief than do citizens of other countries. People who said that they had a religious faith scored higher than those with no stated religion.
