Foxtons

1733779-1613603-thumbnail.jpg  I received a most curious phone call from Foxtons this morning.

"Have you sold your house yet?", the young man asked me.

"What has that got to do with you?" I replied.

"Well we have lots of very keen customers anxious to view your property and we would love to take it on our books", came the response.

Talk about brass neck!

Any "keen customer" will have found our property from the extensive advertising carried out by the estate agent handling the sale.  But if that was cheeky - I hadn't heard the last of it.

"Why on earth would I want to pay Foxtons 3% commission when my agent is only charging me 1.5%?" I retorted.  Without hestitation, deviation or repetition the pushy young man replied:

"You can terminate your contract with them and we will then only charge you 2.2% commission - as sole agents".

The nerve of it!  Where do they find them?!  Have they no shame?!
