Death by….Blogging!

1733779-1613565-thumbnail.jpg                      You just never know what's going to get you.  Here I sit, writing about stabbings and shootings on the streets of Blighty, when I could be struck down at any moment…..from blogging!

According to today’s New York Times two bloggers have recently suddenly dropped dead – 60 year old Russell Shaw (who wrote about technology) and 50 year old Marc Orchant (another techie blogger).  A third, 41 year old Om Malik, had a heart attack - but survived.

And it seems that conditions such as weight loss or gain, sleep disorders, exhaustion and other ailments are hitting bloggers!

So far there has been no official diagnosis that the killer stress of blogging was the cause of death but it’s a warning to all of us who spend excessive amounts of time in front of our screens!  Watch out!

Top marks to the US press for pointing out the dangers of too much high pressure computer work - I look forward to the UK press picking up on this story.

Yes, I quite agree. The internet is a dangerous place! Please take care as you operate it! I wouldn't want to see anything happening to "Goodbye Blighty".

Oh, life is dangerous, but I'm too addicted to blogging myself to give up. Anyway, I'm not a high-pressure, highly competitive, blogger.

Keep going with Goodbye Blighty!

I saw this too - bit alarming for an ageing housewife who doesn't get much exercise other than housework, gardening and trawling around the local town's shops.
