Those who can - Emigrate
High flyers, entrepreneurs, business executives, company directors…the list goes on and on of those getting out.
According to today’s Telegraph Brits simply aren’t going to stick around as the economy heads south. There are five million of us overseas already and another one million are likely to join them in the next five years. This is, of course, horrendous as far as the future of the country is concerned, unless these people are replaced on a like-for-like basis – which I bet my bottom dollar they are not.
Andrew Langton, chairman of international estate agents Aylesford International says
''Brits are saying enough is enough and are quitting the nanny state. Those who are successful are asking, why stick around here and lose everything to inheritance tax?"
Too right mate!
Paul Collins, property editor of overseas homes advice site Buy Association says he has seen an exodus of more affluent Brits, with a 7% rise in inquiries this year alone from those planning to emigrate.
The wealthy, innovative, adventurous and educated amongst us are simply giving up on this country. They have seen the writing on the wall and are getting out. It’s an utter disaster. But I am not going to hang around to see how this all pans out.

Hey ... spare a thought for us left behind.

Hopefully the "brain drain" will strengthen my position in the labour market, so there is an upside.
The nanny state is turning into a police state.
